The 6th Annual Battle of the Bars Golf Tournament

32nd Annual Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival

19TH Annual Start Sussex County Heart Walk

Organization: The American Heart Association

Location: Delaware Technical & Community College, Georgetown, DE
Goal: $140,000, 1,000 Walkers
Length: 5K (3.1 miles)
Time: 9 AM — Registration
10 AM — Walk Begins
11 AM — Post Party
Beneficiary: The American Heart Association, Great River Affiliate as well as the National and Local Research,
Education, and Community service programs.
Overview: Friends, family and co-workers join together to walk “over” heart disease and stroke in this fun community event!

American Cancer Society DetermiNation-Seagull Century
Date: 10/9

When:  Registration is taking place now for this program that will take place at the Seagull Century on Oct. 9, 2010.
Where:  Salisbury University, Salisbury, MD
Cost:  $25 registration fee and participants will have to raise a pledge minium.  Participants will receive coaching, VIP
treatment, fund raising, etc.

Description of Event:  DetermiNation is the ACS endurance athlete program to train and participate in events to raise
money to find cures and save lives.  Many participants do so for a friend or loved one who has had cancer.
